This workshop is the follow-up to Basic Moldmaking and covers intermediate level knowledge and skills. Workshop to be held as a "learnby doing" type class where participants will make a mold of an object, with the goal to be knowledge of how to continue making versus a "final object" result.
There will be a demonstration and explanation on resin/rubber mold making as well as a handout defining intermediate terms and techniques, followed by participants each making their own mold using silicone rubber. The class will cover how to find parting lines, multiple part molds, using silicone rubbers and encasement/shell/mother molds.
**Participants will learn how to use resin plastics and silicone rubbers, 2-Part Molding will be discussed. (There will be a variety of appropriate items available to mold, but you can bring an object of your oen to try provided it is relatively simple in design and smaller than the size of your closed fist.)
