Urethane Rubber

Urethane Rubber can be very soft and flexible (Shore A10) or it can be hard like a tire (Shore A90). The desirable properties of urethanes are that they are tougher and more abrasion-resistant than other rubber products (silicone, for instance). Urethanes tend to be more water-like when in liquid form, so they're usually a bit easier to use. It helps too, that many of the formulas are mixed by a volume ratio, not by weight. So if you're not into this as a profession, you don't have to invest in special scales. You just need some different sized cups. Applications vary from artistic and sculptural molds to pads used to stamp designs in wet concrete.
